Me, Al Gordon & Yvonne @ Worship Central KL, 19 May 09! on Twitpic

Oh cool… I just learnt something new on the web yet again… *celebrates*

I just “pulled” a photo from my twitter account to my blog.. You have to click on it to see a larger picture =) but still cool… hahahah

Apologies to those who are way advance with their html/ IT/ blog management skills. Allow me this lil’ “pat on the back” please.

Thank you very much.

psst: above pic is taken after the Worship Central @ DUMC on 19th May 09 with Tim Hughes & Al Gordon. They are totally an inspiration to me! Have not changed my CD in the car since that evening where I purchased  “Happy Day Live in London” – Tim Hughes.

*bimbo moment* I said it before, I say it again… (so its totally unrelated to it being Tim Hughes/Al Gordon) I just lurve the British accent and their sense of humour.

Their sharing was very short but totally needed Rhema word for myself.

I’ve tweeted some nuggets of what I’ve learnt, so if you guys really wanna know… go see my twitter page la.

I foresee that in the next three to four weeks, this blog will be producing much more short posts only…

Too much to do, too little time!

After being spoilt for at least two decades of MAS first class treatment, being downgraded to economy class was a personal achievement for me.

And then, I came across Air Asia.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m probably just gonna grumble a bit about Air Asia, but Air Asia is great in that really and truly, now everyone can fly.

I have no qualms about the lack of leg space…

leg space

I even saw a caucasian, fairly round man fit into the seat just fine (although I can imagine, must be pretty uncomfortable).

The worst part of Air Asia is the standard of how the announcements are made. The English announcements were given in such inaudible sounds, it made me really disgusted. Even that can not compare with the unprofessional approaches of the stewards/stewardesses.

Laughing out loud into the speaker?

hmm…

Even if they are low budget, can’t they at least train their staff to be more professional in their service?

Perhaps, I really have been spoilt with MAS service all my life and seeing such horrendous unprofessional behaviour just shocks me to the bone.

More on my actual trip later… :D

Forgot one more event that took place (which if I did not go for, would have had much more sleep… but I guess dark circles under my eyes will stay with me till I find a time to catch up with my beauty sleep… Probably next week when I fly off… :D )

3rd December  – Truth University Free Overview

Totally forgot bout this till Yew Meng reminded us. Pastor Ben recommended this night school as one of a kind, one where the teaching is very solid and where the Bible is taught in a way that no seminary has ever taught before. This university sends lecturers from overseas, and the teaching is once a month on Wednesday nights. Of course, they offered a free one class overview & trial of what the class would be like, before we sign up. So this night, was the night of the free trial. (If not, it would be RM 50/month if you were doing the bachelor degree, RM 100/month for Masters degree and RM 150/month for Phd degree – in a span of two years)

So, out of curiousity, Lai Yee, Yew Meng and I went after work. It was interesting, but realllllyy long!!! We were all like half asleep and half restless with my stomach screaming of hunger (didn’t have time to eat dinner). The teaching was very different, and is what Pastor Ben has shared briefly before with us too. Not to mention, the lecturers accent is hilarious!!! There was one part where we heard “Angels and Cubes” and everyone went, “HUH?!?” It was actually suppose to be angels and cherubs… LOL

Yet, after a few days of thinking it through… I guess this Truth University night classes aren’t for me. Not comfortable with all the over emphasis on numbers and names… And the whole university (to me anyway) feels a bit too over intellectualised for my taste. Although I love a hardcore bible study where it goes straight into history, context and Hebrew/Greek and all that, this was just beyond that, I thought.

But all the same, it was an interesting experience and at least I can say I have been exposed to this and know that this isn’t for me :)

Besides, this university isn’t really recognised in any of the mainstream churches… hmm hmm :D

Bible college is always something at the back of my mind. The questions remaining are: when? and where?
